Hello everyone,

I have a slight problem when I need to place text (in this case numbers) on top of an object with a rounded corner. The problem I am faced with is when the numbers go OVER the object, though I'd like them to stay IN the object frame. I can't seem to find a solution to this problem.

Here is a pic of my problem (I altered it in paint to show you what I mean):

I work with InDesign CS3.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

I think that when you place text on top of an object with a rounded corner the layer sequence of text is below the layer of object thats why the text is hiding behind the object.

My problem is the opposite of your comment. :) I can't seem to get the text IN the object, it's over it. I've tried to invert wrap it, etc.

    Any suggestions?

    Edit > Paste Into
In this case you would select the numbers frame and cut (or copy and delete later). Select the frame with the round corner applied and Edit > Past Into.
Note, a frame can contain only one element; any other text or objects in the frame will be lost.
Second Note, a frame can contain more than one element. Remove any existing items in the frame (Direct Select tool, cut/copy Paste to a new area. Group the several elements that are to be contained in the round corner frame, copy the group and Paste Into.
These elements can be moved within the round corner frame using the Direct Select tool afterwards.
