I'm preparing a journal to do with science/health and figured that the most appropriate colors to use are innocuous blue/green and whites. It got me thinking about appropriate colors for subjects and how they might be perceived.

For example, my guide for choosing those colors for that subject are drawn from hospitals, clinics and associated products. And also, I understand navy/blue to signify success and confidence to be used for say, an annual report.

But what colors work with, say, telecommunications, pet care, human rights?

Can anyone suggest articles or discussions on the subject? Or throw in your own feelings on the subject.
